- Salary Range $89,003 – $93,257 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience

About the Role
The Waste Contracts Officer is responsible for the effectivemanagement of the City's waste and recycling contracts, ensuringservices are delivered safely, compliantly, efficiently and withinbudget. The role oversees contractor performance, procurement andtender processes, contract administration, financial monitoring andstakeholder engagement to achieve high-quality service outcomes andvalue for money.
The position also contributes to the planning and continuousimprovement of waste services, provides specialist waste managementadvice, supports the City's Waste Strategy and assesses DevelopmentApplications from a waste and recycling perspective.
As with all roles at the City, this position contributes toexcellent customer service by responding to resident enquiries,service requests and complaints through the City's CRM system,while undertaking associated administrative tasks.
What we’re Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant experience in a similar position, preferably in waste or a related industry
- Considerable knowledge and practical experience in administering the WARR Act and other legislation relevant to the waste industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract management principles and practices
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes
- Highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high level reports regarding waste management and related environmental issues
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
