The Opportunity

We're seeking a Process / Project Engineer with practical water or wastewater treatment experience to join our Engineering team.

While the role supports both water and wastewater projects, our key focus is strengthening our wastewater process design capability. Working alongside our existing process engineering team, you'll play a leading role in developing wastewater treatment solutions while remaining involved throughout project delivery, commissioning and optimisation.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll take projects from concept through detailed design, documentation, fabrication support, commissioning and handover. You'll work closely with clients, project managers, manufacturing and service teams to deliver practical, high-performing treatment plants across Australia.

Whether your background is process engineering, project engineering or a combination of both, we're looking for someone with practical wastewater treatment experience who enjoys solving problems and seeing projects through to completion.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop practical water and wastewater treatment solutions from concept through to commissioning

• Lead wastewater process design, including process calculations, equipment selection and design criteria

• Prepare engineering documentation, including process design statements, PFDs, P&IDs and control philosophies

• Provide technical support to engineering, project and sales teams throughout project delivery

• Undertake site investigations, commissioning, troubleshooting and treatment plant optimisation

• Work closely with clients, suppliers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver successful project outcomes

Your Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental, Mechanical or Civil Engineering

• 5+ years' experience in water or wastewater treatment engineering

• Practical experience in wastewater process design and treatment plant delivery

• Experience preparing process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs and control philosophies

• Experience using BioWin or similar wastewater process modelling software (highly regarded)

• Strong understanding of biological wastewater treatment processes (SBR, MBR, activated sludge and nutrient removal)

• Commissioning, troubleshooting and optimisation experience (highly regarded)

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams
