The Colliers Engineering and Design team specialises in civil, infrastructure, water engineering, town planning and urban design. Key services provided to developers in this service line include site assessment and due diligence, planning approvals and engineering design through to completion of construction.
Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a Water & Wastewater Engineer in our Sydney office. You will report directly into the Director - Water & Wastewater and have the backing of a team of over 520 experts nationally. You will be tasked with leading a project delivery team in a bid to achieve client commitments and build client advocacy and confidence.
Specifically:
Manage major water & wastewater projects, including project planning and coordination through initial inception to detailed design and construction phases
Supervise and mentor junior staff
Taking a leading role as a technical advisor for the team
Collaboration with other teams and offices to ensure integrated design approach
Provide specialist technical input to feasibility studies and conceptual designs
Undertake construction cost estimates for budgeting and funding purposes
Prepare written reports and make technical presentations to clients and other internal/external stakeholders
Oversee the planning and design of various project elements, preparation of reports, hydraulic models, design calculations, technical drawings, construction plans and specifications
Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, constructors, approval authorities, government agencies and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Proven experience in municipal water & wastewater infrastructure planning and project management
Must have experience in water and wastewater network modelling
Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse teams
Demonstrated project management experience
Capable of contributing to business development activities, pursuing new clients/projects
Must have a proven track record of leading technical engineering teams and successfully managing water & wastewater projects
