About this Position:
The Resource Recovery Attendant is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of the Resource Recovery facility by providing manual labour, guiding customers and operating equipment. This role plays a key part in promoting sustainable waste practices, maintaining site safety and cleanliness and delivering high quality service.

What we trust you to deliver:

Perform a range of manual tasks to support the safe and efficient movement, sorting, and recovery of waste materials.

Deliver professional customer interactions with the community in alignment with Councils values
-
Operate and maintain small plant and equipment ensuring the safe, efficient use and routine upkeep to support site operations

Follow defined Work, Health and Safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace
What you will need to be successful:

General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
-
Current Class C Drivers Licence
- Current Forklift Licence (LF Class) - or willing to obtain
-
Conduct Civil Construction Skid Steer Loader Operations - RIIMPO318F or similar (or willing to obtain)
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve operational goals
-
Demonstrated experience in resource recovery or similar labouring roles
- Sound understanding and practical application of Work health and Safety (WHS) requirements
- The ability to participate in a rotating roster including weekend work and public holidays as required

Full Time: 76 hours per fortnight
Salary: From $1,152.30 (Grade 6 Entry) per week + superannuation

Conditions of Employment: Conditions of employment are in the Local Government (State) Award and relevant Council policy, procedures and agreements.

Immunisation Program
Council has an immunisation program to provide employees with vaccinations against known health risks associated with their respective duties and to identify any exposure to products that may affect an employee’s health, fitness and wellbeing. This position has been identified as a risk to the employee and as such the successful applicant/s will be required to participate in the immunisation program and it is the applicant’s responsibility to have undertaken relevant immunisation/s prior to commencement with Council.
