We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Professional Drivers to join our team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills, enjoy stable and meaningful work, and achieve a balanced lifestyle.
Responsibilities
As a Professional Driver, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality waste management services across the city. Your responsibilities will include:
Safely operating Council vehicles equipped with modern telematics systems Collecting residential and commercial waste and maintaining bin infrastructure Completing daily run sheets and reporting operational issues Working collaboratively with the Waste Services leadership team to ensure efficient service delivery.
Essential
Qualifications and experience
Customer service experience Well-developed communication skills Demonstrated ability to work safely and unsupervised Ability to locate properties using systems such as Google Maps, TechOne, Telematics, Global Positioning System (GPS), directions and signage Class HR driver’s licence.
Desirable
Previous experience in waste management collection and/or removal or similar field Previous experience in using Telematics system and Global Positioning System (GPS).
Remuneration And Benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
Entry level for this position starts at $38.0889 per hour, plus 25% casual loading Casual working hours Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
